More Names Surface In Star Caps Case

http://www.twincities.com/sports/ci_15649950

I'm just gonna sum up this article in the most simple way I know how, without going into detail. You can read the article if you want (Packer fans may find someone to help them)

2006 and 2007--List of names come up for people using Star Caps, the same diuretic the NFL tried to suspend Pat and Kevin Williams for.

8 players were exonerated by the NFL's drug testing administrator, because they didn't know the product contained a banned substance.

So then the NFL's anti doping head honcho was pissed that this administrator exonerated these guys, so he started it back up again, and that was in 2008 and the Williams boys names came out.

The names on the list of 8 that werent punished are former Pro Bowlers Nate Clements and Damien Woody, offensive tackle Vernon Carey and Damien McIntosh, defensive end Marquise Hill, WR Jonathan Smith, fullback Damien Shelton, and fullback Patrick Pass.

Whether or not you personally think the Williams are steroid users or you feel that they should be responsible for what they put into their bodies, the fact remains that the league didn't punish some and tried to punish others, in my opinion the entire case is a fraud from the NFL's standpoint, with too many holes in it to even be considered rationale.

The good thing is that Pat Williams will retire without ever having to serve a suspension and Kevin Williams is getting up there in age too. The players have won so far and beat the mighty NFL.

  1. Shouldn't they still be suspended because they broke the rules regardless of who got away with it?
