Do or Die for Mason Crosby

Mason Crosby needed to bring his A game today and that just didn't happen.  Mason Crosby hit 6 for 9, making kicks from 28, 33, 36, 43, 50 and 53.  He missed from 40 and twice from 45.  Now it is no time to call for the man's head as it is only day two of practice and Crosby was working with Chris Bryan as his holder.  The concerning thing is that the same thing happened last year and it never really seemed to get much better.  An NFL kicker has one job and that is to make field goals.  Mason had the chance today to silence his critics by coming out and making his kicks today but instead did the exact opposite.  He missed from the right hash where he continues to struggle.  Crosby has been under more heat than any packer aside from Jarret Bush so you think he would have been ready today.  It will be interesting to see if he just needs to knock a little rust off or if we are in for more of the same.

Thanks to all the Railbirds today for letting the ones of us that can't be at camp get a little closer to the action.
