Childress Addresses Favre

Childress reports that he has indeed talked to Favre in the past 24 hours, but received no indication that he will indeed retire.  He went on to say that "It wouldn't surprise me one way or the other (if he stays/retires)".  Addressing the issue at QB if he does retire, Childress responded that he felt comfortable with Tavaris and Sage.      Childress also called the situation as "fluid" before finally getting short with the media over asking similar Favre questions.

On an ending note, Childress does believe Favre has been in contact with teammates but finds it hard to believe a decision wouldn't start with him being involved.  There seems to be some great logic behind this because Favre surely wouldn't expect Percy or Allen to tap Childress on the shoulder and say "Hey, Brett wanted me to let you know that he is done".

Also to Note:
Vikings Kicker Ryan Longwell talked with Favre 15 minutes before practice, no indication of retirement

NFL Network is throwing on the breaks regarding this story, now repeatedly saying that this story is not confirmed.
