This will be the biggest story of the season if it comes to fruition, particularly on this blog. The entire dynamic of the NFC North changes if it is Rodgers vs T Jackson rather than Rodgers vs Favre.
I won't rule out the chance that Favre will start watching pre-season football and realize that the view is better from the sideline than from the sofa. We've seen this dance before and when Brett decides he wants to change the music the Vikings will be more than happy to clear the dance floor. Remember, after balking at the beginning of camp last year, Favre changed his mind and signed on August 19th. That leaves plenty of time for a change of heart.
I'd bet that Vikings fans will be hoping for him to get the itch, and I know that most Packer fans would be glad to host a retirement party for him. I think I can hold off on all of the prognostication and how this affects the season, at least until we hear something directly from Favre. For the time being, the Favre watch is officially back on center stage, just like he likes it.
