Breaking News: Favre Not Returning

@TomPelissero: Can't confirm, so take with salt, but there is strong buzz here that Brett Favre has told the #Vikings today he's staying retired.

@JuddZulgad: Favre is expected to issue a press release later today. Keep in mind this is Brett Favre and it is Aug. 3.


Take this information for what it is worth, but Vikings fans better get down on their knees and start praying right now, as if this is true, this puts a big damper on their season.  I also heard some reports that he Vikings would reach back out to him and offer more money.  I would really doubt that money would influence his decision at all but we will see. Nothing is final yet.


Apparently Favre cited the lack of response in his ankle for his decision not to play in 2010.
